GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
| Logia 22. |
Jesus saw children who were being suckled. He said to his disciples.
These children who are being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom. They said to Him: Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom? Jesus said to them: When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male and the female (not) be female, when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in the place of a hand, and a foot in the place of a foot, (and) an image in the place of an image, then shall you enter the Kingdom. |
There is a lot here to absorb, but it is one of the pivotal Logia in the collection of these saying.
To begin . . . the children are ‘the saved’, the ones who
had the knowledge. Knowledge that was obtained through the Chaldi Colleges,
Ancient Colleges that were in existence long before Melchizedek.
Many of the other Gospels and writings found at the same
time add to this concept –gnosis is knowledge. When we know who we are, we are
that step closer to alignment with God. Gospel of Truth The Gospel of Truth The Gospel of Truth Everybody today seems to think they are lacking something, for they are always
trying to obtain more. Being told they have a lack of self-esteem, they look to
half empty glasses instead of half full. To become a solitaire again, is when your outer
manifestation is the same as the inner spirit. The Gospel of Philip Pleroma – a Greek word meaning fullness of being of the divine life. ‘The lower as the upper’ – today we call this The Microcosm as the Macrocosm That, that is above them, the Pleroma exists within man and the Lord is the father.
The spark of light that exists within all man. In the Pseudo-Clementines The world appears to move in cycles – at one time it was dominated by the female – today it is
the male – but we seem to be returning to the female as the dominant factor.
This cycle will
continue until we realize that we are to be both - equally. From the Gospel of Philip again When the disciples became enlightened the female and the male became as one. There
is the constant instruction to become as a solitaire. He establishes that there are some who are ready to hear him. I have used more quotations this time to show that this was part of the life of these peoples.
They wanted a unity of spirit, that led to a communion with God, which
meant they did not need others to fulfill them. They each were a SOLITAIRE. PJR “We should neither separate spirit from matter … physical
form from that which gives form … nor life from living. To suppose that one must retire from the world to be spiritual is one of
the greatest possible mistakes … We enter the Spirit of the Life only as we
enter into the spirit of living.” Ernest Holmes
“Afterall these there appeared also the little children, those to whom belongs gnosis
of the Father.”
“For in the place where there is envy and strife there is a lack. But that
place which is unity is perfection. Since the lack is caused
because they do not know the Father, from that moment in which they learn to
know the Father, shall there be no more lack.”.
“Through unity shall each one find himself, through knowledge shall he purify
himself from a manifold being to a unity in that he absorbs matter into himself,
like a fire, and darkness with light, death with life. If this happened to each
of us, it would be best for us to take care that the house (the body), is pure
and quiet for unity.”
the Lord said, however: I have come to make the lower as the upper and the outer as the inner
… Therefore the Lord has called corruption: the darkness which is beyond and beyond which is nothing.
He said: My Father who art in the secret place,
He said: Go into your room, close the door behind you and pray to your Father who is in the
secret place for his truth is within them all.
That which is however, in them all is the Pleroma, According to him there is none
other within him. This is that
about which it is said: “That which is above them.”
Apart of the heavenly world, the Pleroma, exists within man, and its Lord is the Father who is
‘above’.
Basic gnostic view of the construction of the world is that the female is identical
with the cosmos, the creative world. For since the present world is female, as the mother
brings forth the souls of her children, but the world to
come is male, and the father receiving his children.
The male speaks from the coming world the woman from the present manifested world.
“When Eve was in Adam, death did not exist. When
she became separate from him, death came into being. When she enters again and he receiveth her, death
shall exist no more.”
Logia 23.
Jesus said: I shall
choose you, one out of a thousand, and two out of ten thousand, and they
shall stand as a single one.
