GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS

WHEN WILL YOU BECOME AS ONE?

Many of the remainder of the Logia are short and quite often refer to what has already been discussed. I hope you have been keeping copies of previous Pulse and the Logia therein. I can supply past copies for you if you so desire.

Logia 72. A man said to Him: Tell my brethren to divide my father's possessions with me. He said to him: O man, who made Me a divider? He turned to his disciples, he said to them, I am not a divider, am I?

The New Testament refers to Judge here. But Neither Jesus nor the Gnostics did not recognize God as a judging god, so all reference to this aspect is not included. Although Logia 16 talks of Jesus sending division upon the earth, the words do not have a simple meaning.
For - Fire means to purify.
Sword means the Word of Truth.
War means to eat (consume) each other.
Each is an aspect of the teaching of Jesus, where in the Gospel of Thomas he is trying to unite the particles with the source, the Light. By means of purifying, speaking the Word of Truth and getting each one to think for themselves and be a solitaire.

Logia 73. Jesus said: The harvest is indeed great, but the laborers are few, but beg the Lord to send laborers into harvest.

There are many ready and willing to hear the truth but few to speak it. Jesus wanted more to speak up which is why he wrote the Gospel of John.

Logia 74. He said: Lord, there are many around the cistern, but nobody in the cistern.

For you are around that particle of light but nobody seems to be aware enough to get in that light.

Logia 75. Jesus said: Many are standing at the door, but the solitary are the ones who will enter the bridal chamber.

Again we are looking at getting involved; for many stand at the doorway of Truth, but few go in because they are not solitaires. The one that do get in are the ones who are already one. For the Bridal chamber is for those who have made the two one. The Wedding is where the two parts become one. And the word Betroth actually comes form the words Troth or Truth. So as we let the inner man express the outer man from its spiritual aspect then we become as solitaires.

Logia 22 bears repeating in part -
Jesus said to them: When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male and the female (not) be female, . . . then shall you enter the Kingdom.

Logia 76. Jesus said: The Kingdom of the Father is like a man, a merchant, who possessed merchandise, be found a pearl. That merchant was prudent. He sold the merchandise, he bought the one pearl for himself. Do you also seek to the treasure, which fails not, which endures, there where no moth come near to devour and where no worm destroy.

Whatever that is that aggravates you - within is a pearl of great price. A grain of sand gets into an oyster shell. It would kill the oyster except that it keeps covering it so it will not hurt it, until it becomes a pearl . . . To be able to move through an aggravation in your life until it becomes a great experience, says you have made many pearls and do not realize it.

Logia 77. Jesus said: I am the Light that is above the all, I am the All, the All came forth from Me and the All attained to Me. Cleave a piece of wood, I am there, lift up the stone and you will find me there.

The Gospel of Truth
"The Word of the Father goes forth into the All thus, in him it is a fruit of his heart and a form of the revelation of his will. It bears up the All, it makes a choice there and further, it makes (clothes itself in) the form of the All, it purifies it, it causes it to return to the Father and to the Mother (the Word, which is), Jesus of unlimited sweetness."

In the New Testament again in John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them and said, I am the light of the world, he who follows me shalt not walk in darkness, but he shall find FOR HIMSELF the light of life.

Logia 78. Jesus said: why did you come out into the desert? To see a reed shaken by the wind? And to see a man clothed in soft garments? See your kings and your great ones are those who are clothed in soft garments and they shall not be able to know the truth.

Here know is 'a profound certainty'.
Today there has to be Mercedes that people are entitled to, but the soft garments will not get you to the truth, or keep you in it.
(This attitude has actually today bankrupted several churches within the movement??)

Logia 79. A woman form the multitude said to Him. Blessed is the womb, which bore Thee and the breasts, which nourished Thee. He said to her: Blessed are those who have heard the word of the Father and have kept it in Truth. For there will be days when you will say: Blessed is the womb, which has not conceived and the breasts, which have not suckled.

Body is the reflection of the mind - not all are nurturers. Jesus had disciples amongst the women who gave up all to follow and preach his words. Womb - mind which bore divine ideas. Comes through women but is from the presence. There will be days when you go back one step before going forward two.

Logia 80. Jesus said: Whoever has known the world has found the body, and whoever has found the body, of him the world is not worthy.

Know here is a profound certainty
When you find that the body is the Temple of the Living God . . .
what you have thought of your body is not worthy of you it is so much greater
When you know the things that are within are greater than that that is within the world.
