GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS

DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?

Logia 65. He said: A good man had a vineyard. He gave it to husbandmen so that they would work it and that he would receive its fruit from them He sent his servant so that the husbandmen would give him the fruit of the vineyard. They seized his servant, they beat him, a little longer and they would have killed him. The servant came, he told his master. His master said; "Perhaps he did not know them". He sent another servant, the husbandmen beat him as well. Then the owner sent his son. He sad; "Perhaps they will respect my son. Since those husbandmen knew that he was the heir the vineyard, they seized him, they killed him. Whoever has ears to hear let him hear.

A long example to drive home the ideas that you cannot send someone else to do your work, or to get your good. God sent prophet after prophet to give the people instruction, but they did not heed. He even supposedly sent this son. But that was even worse for they killed him from jealous, when they found that they could not do as he did.

This is why one must go direct to God without ANY intermediary.

Logia 66. Jesus said: Show me the stone, which the builders have rejected, it is the corner stone.

Matthew puts it much longer and adding too much. But Jesus was taking it from Psalm 118:22:

“The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.  This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

Sometimes who or what is rejected by society actually directs the way to our destiny as a corner stone of a building shows the direction of the walls. Our story of my granddaughter Katrina is a incredible example.

Logia 67. Jesus said: Whoever knows the All but fails to know himself lacks everything.

You wouldn't find anything of this in the Bible, as it would take away the jobs of the priests. For you ARE the All and the two must be one once again.

Here 'know' is to recognize - to understand. Once we recognize the All as the one power and presence and relate it to ourselves expressing it in our lives we are a living expression of God.

The next three Logia need to be taken together.

Logia 68. Jesus Said: Blessed are you when you are hated and persecuted and no place will be found there where you have been persecuted.

You now move beyond the 'love less' which is again here an interpretation of the word 'hate'. If you feel persecuted - move beyond it - then there is no place found within you for feelings of persecution to rest.

Love your enemies it will drive them crazy.

If you love there is no way that they can find a way to get a reaction from you because there is no persecution in you.

Logia 69a. Jesus said: Blessed are those who have been persecuted in their heart, these are they who have known the Father in truth.

If you go back to Logia 2 to compare - remember!

"Let him who seeks, not cease seeking until he finds, and when he finds he will be troubled, and when he has been troubled he will marvel and he will reign over the ALL."

Persecuted - disturbed in their heart - for they will find the All. Here 'known ' is a profound certainty.

Logia 69b. Blessed are the hungry, for the belly of him who desires will be filled.

To get you all stirred up again. These are those who are athirst for the truth that fills you with peace and oneness to the exclusion of all else.

Logia 70. Jesus said: If you bring forth that within yourselves, that which you have will save you. If you do not have that within yourselves, that which you do not have within you will kill you.

As I said above all three follow on - if you recognize the God presence within you, you will be at peace. But if you are constantly in turmoil then there is no peace within.

There is an admonition from the Gospel of Philip.

"It is not fitting that all should learn to know themselves. Some, if they do not learn to know themselves, will not put what they have to good use, others, however, who have learned to know themselves will make use of the (which they have)."

If you do no reveal that which is within yourselves the outside world will kill you i.e. disease etc . . . fear . . . anxieties.

Logia 71. Jesus said: I shall destroy this house and no one will be able to build it again.

In the Gospel of Mary:
"…the soul is called the "murderess of man" the reason being that when a man dies, his soul is permanently divorced from his body, being freed from matter, and hence the soul kills the body."

Hence there is no resurrection of the body as in the Apostolic Creed … but the ongoing of the soul without the limitation of the body.

The house or tent is a temple … the consciousness you live or abide in. If you are finished with one you are never able to return again you are always going onward and upward. For you cannot get the same body because the soul would have to build a different one. Hence the soul builds the new body of the fetus to reside in.

Jesus also took on the task of breaking apart the material world by cutting a path to freedom in the heavenly world for all the 'particles of light'.
