Logia 81. Jesus said: Let him who has become rich become king, and let him who has power renounce it.

As you recognize the riches of God within you then you become king and rule over your whole environment. BUT when you feel there is a power that you should be using and you do not just accept it as a gift of God. If you MISUSE it, that same power will come back on you!

Logia 82. Jesus said: Whoever is near me is near to the fire, and whoever is far from me is far from the Kingdom.

Fire means purification - Jesus went into meditation to purify himself before he did anything. This is why Emma Curtis Hopkins constantly uses the term 'denials'. Unfortunately this term has assumed a false connotation. You are not denying the existence of anything, but cleansing the being of false ideas. Then the affirmations can come in and be effective, otherwise without this all that is being done is just affirming the false ideas.

Logia 83. Jesus said: The images are manifest to man and the Light, which is within them, is hidden in the Image of the Light of the Father. He will manifest himself and His Image is concealed by His Light.

We are entering into a profound section of this Gospel. Jesus differentiates between God and Father. They are not the same. In John 20:17 he says to Mary Magdalene "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." The image of God is hidden within by the Light that Lighteth all men at the center of every cell. We are the manifestation of God but that inner Light is concealed within and therefore as we do not allow that light to manifest ourselves; the image that we are of God cannot manifest either.

Logia 84. Jesus said: When you see your likeness, you rejoice. But when you see your images, which came into existence before you, which neither die nor are manifested, how much will you bear.

Bear is to bring forth - how do you know what is your likeness? When you yearn for that which is the pattern within that is longing to manifest you get scared. When you realize that this is the part of you that never dies, nor seems to be able to manifest, it is so hidden as in Logia 83, how much can you bring forth?

Logia 85. Jesus said: Adam came into existence from a great power and a great wealth, and yet he did not become worthy of you. For if he had been worthy, he would not have tasted death.

We leave behind all the unnecessary parts of ourselves, taking only the spirit and soul onward. When you come into Truth and start to anticipate Eternal Life, there is still that true image within. That image that we must bring out into manifestation, UP TO rather than bring it DOWN into manifestation. This is the struggle that we seem to make 'backads'. We keep trying to bring Spirit down to spiritualize our material level instead of bringing the material in alignment with the spiritual level. We are already spirit but all I hear is "I have to become more spiritual". Not possible. We have to recognize and accept our spiritual nature then we will be worthy.

Logia 86. Jesus said: The foxes have their holes and the birds have their nest, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head and to rest.

We call this Divine discontent - for there is within us that constant urge to go further, to know more, to feel more fulfilled, This is why we are here to seek and seek and seek. If you do not remember or never had the first article of Gospel of Thomas. The very second Logia is

Jesus said: Let him who seeks, not cease seeking until he finds, and when he finds, he will be troubled, and when he has been troubled, he will marvel and he will reign over the All.

Logia 87. Jesus said: Wretched is the body which depends upon a body, and wretched is the soul which depends upon these two.

We are beginning to have to refer back to previous Logia in this case number 7, where in more symbolic terms

Jesus said: Blessed is the lion which the man eats and the lion will become man; and cursed is the man whom the lion eats and the lion will become man.

The lion symbolizes the material nature - Blessed is the material nature, which the man appropriates and the material nature will become man, and cursed is the man whom the material nature appropriates and the man will become material nature.

LION - In hypostasis of the Archons, another document from the Nag Hamadi Library, Samael, the Creator-God is said to be characterized by a shadowy existence below the limits of the aeons. He became a willful animal in the form of a lion, and is both male and female, since he came into existence from matter, hyle.

Logia 88. Jesus said: The Angels and the prophets will come to you and they will give you what is yours. And you, too, give to them what is in your hands, and say to yourselves. "On which day will they come and receive what is theirs?"

Angels are ideas, but Prophets are those who state the spiritual laws and therefore a thought that is in contact with Spirit. If you are listening to the ideas that come to you then you will be able to give back your elevated consciousness. When will you be required to give account of yourself? So there must be no hanging back, it requires you to take action NOW.

Logia 89. Jesus said: Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Do you not understand that he who made the inside is also he who made the outside?

Look to the inner and purify it first and the outside will reflect. Here we are again with Emma's denials. Purify the consciousness first.
